As an accomplished expert in the specialized field of addiction and co-occurring mental health, she is known for successful outcomes in the most complicated cases. She is preferred for being highly skilled at recovery coaching and negotiating change, using motivational techniques such as tactical empathy and emotional intelligence while preserving her clients’ privacy, dignity, and respect. She has extensive experience working with individuals struggling with substance and behavioral addictions as well as mood disorders. She is currently the host of The Recovery Report, an informative treatment resource for people seeking help with addiction and mental health. She is also featured on local and national media outlets discussing addiction, codependency, and relapse prevention. Heather is known for successfully piloting a 12 Step AA and Alateen adolescent meeting within the Scottsdale Unified School District, which led to multiple on-campus meetings throughout SUSD and speaking on behalf of the Arizona Governor’s Youth Commission.
